  Manchester College Science Center

The Manchester College Science Center is an 89,000 square foot steel frame, brick clad learning center that provides offices, classrooms, and laboratories for all of the college’s chemistry, biology, mathematics and computer science students.

The structure was designed to accommodate the unique needs of each discipline.  For example, the biology department contains a greenhouse, which was integrated into the center atrium design and other departments have room darkening capabilities, enhanced acoustics, or an exposed structure to support suspended experiments.

A rooftop observation deck and a seismometer encased in a steel tube, immediately adjacent to the building, are other prominent features.
